WE ARE REACHING A TIPPING POINT
Awareness is growing around the power of networks and collaboration to spark systemic change.
And a rich treasure trove of experiences already exist to help us guide the way.
But most of these stories and resources remains scattered, of variable quality, and difficult to find – making them accessible only to a privileged few.
OUR GOAL: COLLABORATIVE RESOURCE CURATION
Doing transformational change requires access to a vast variety of methods, tools, and stories – from network weaving, to participatory facilitation, to collaborative organizing, to systems thinking: view this vast resource library for inspiration.
We want to enable any individual, no matter where they are entering from, to be able to easily find resources that support this work, which are appropriate to the needs, languages, and contexts of their group and/or network.
To do this, we plan to take a collaborative approach. By bringing together multiple organizations who are collecting and curating resources on collaborative changemaking, we hope to learn from one another and develop an approach to curate, database, and distribute together – saving time, while increasing quality and reach.

WHAT WE PLAN TO DO TOGETHER
- Live test the resource curation process through a monthly community of practice that shares resources while selecting, refining, entering, and cataloguing them on the spot
- Collate existing resources from across these organizations into a shared database, comparing, contrasting, and merging materials across different categorizations and descriptive text, while developing a common back-end databasing system
- Test with multiple audiences by allowing each organization to filter out resources on their own front-end website or platforms, and piloting modes in which each community can rank, comment, and add resources to the common database – so the users identify their own relevance and needs
- Develop a shared protocol for the collective resource curation process, including how we evaluate, categorize, combine, and differentiate resources together; how we maintain diversity and prioritize the end-user’s needs; and how we disseminate to communities.
