Now Teach
Now Teach works to inspire and support career changers to transition into teaching and bring their life and work experiences to students, classrooms, and schools. Now Teach recognises that sustained impact in the education sector and attracting and retaining teachers requires a networks approach. In 2021, the inHive team started work with the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) to advise what steps the organization could take to advance its alumni network towards an engaged and self-sustaining community with a purpose of social transformation. The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) is a membership-based pan-African Non-Governmental Organisation that operates through 34 National Chapters in sub-Saharan Africa to promote girls’ and women’s education. FAWE’s vision, mission and goal are all resolute on the well-being of girls’ education. Pakistan currently has 22.8 million of out-of-school children making it the second-largest population of out-of-school children in the world. 53% of these out-of-school children are girls. The Lloyd’s Register Foundation is one of the leading supporters of engineering-related research, training and education worldwide. Established in 2012, its mission is to protect the safety of life and property and to advance transport and engineering education and research. THE ROYAL NATIONAL CHILDREN’S SPRINGBOARD FOUNDATION
The Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation is the UK’s largest boarding school bursary charity. They provide life-transforming opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people in 100 state and independent boarding schools. To date they have supported more than 700 pupils, who embody the values of their boarding education well after they’ve left school, including a desire to give back. POLICE NOW: TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES
Police Now recruit and develop outstanding graduates and career changers to be inspirational detectives and police officers who transform communities and break the link between crime and deprivation in the UK. Since 2020, we have been supporting Police Now in their Connection for Life initiative, which will create a network of their participants and ambassadors to build a movement for change in policing. Columba Leadership: Kick starting leadership networks in South Africa
Columba Leadership equips marginalised youth with life-changing values such as perseverance, integrity and service. inHive worked with Columba to identify the potential for a network based on their Leadership Academy programme. We conducted an in-depth study with Columba staff, partners and alumni, with the report findings and recommendations leading to Columba developing a formal and organized network of their own.
